Benjamin Cooper is an Associate for Networked Improvement Science at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.  He is an advocate, researcher, and educator who is committed to improving life outcomes for traditionally underserved students. He is currently an Associate at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, where he actively coaches within networked improvement communities, investigates the practice of coaching using improvement science tools and methods, and develops course offerings for external audiences. He also serves as an adjunct professor in educational leadership at California State University, Fullerton, where he supports principal candidates to leverage improvement science to improve the lives of teachers and students.

Dr. Cooper earned his Ph.D. in education from the University of California, Los Angeles. He also holds a B.A. in sociology from Wake Forest University.
